St Breward is an old moorland village standing at the top of the scarp slope on the northern edge of Bodmin Moor. An ancient granite minng village, St Breward is a thriving community with one of the finest pubs in all Cornwall as well as a well stocked village shop and many local community groups. Yet just munutes outside the village and the silence of Bodmin Moor descends offering peace and tranquility.

Over the years visiting guests have left comments in visitors books or written to us once they have arrived back home. Here are some of their comments:

  • Just a quick note firstly to say thanks for a great two weeks and your hospitality.
  • The time went too quickly once again
  • Marvelous wildlife - the jays feeding at the bird table were fantastic. Nothing like that where we live
  • ... and the owl sat there for about ten minutes before flying off into the dusk. We all just watched from the lounge window - so close!

  • We really enjoy the walk down through Coombe and back around. The hounds at the hunt kennels are always so friendly when we stop there.
